Thursday August 2 - I am back at Ink About It to teach 3 ADORABLE (if I do say so myself) cards using images created by My Favorite Things.
I am quite pleased with how these came out and am looking forward to sharing them with you all!
And yes they do fit in a regular envelope!
Please bring your own flesh tone COPICs with you - I'll take care of the rest!
Please - come play!

Paper Smooches...
So per usual - nothing can go smoothly when I teach. And most often it's my printer failing me in all ways! Grrrrr....oh well. Thank you ladies for keeping up with me today as I verbally gave out directions. You all did marvelous! Such happy cards aren't they?
All right - really - I do apologize for the lack of paper instruction. But as promised, here they are for you to use. Remember - any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks for coming and playing at Ink About It today!
Sup

Paper Smooches – July 28, 2012
littlekatydidthis.blogspot.com
SUPPLIES: fine cutting scissors, paper cutter, glossy
accents, 2 complimentary shades of the following COPIC colors (blue, green,
yellow, orange, pink, red, brown), pop tape
Make a Wish….
Cut 2 light pink and one medium
pink scalloped strip to 5 ½ “ long.
Starting from the bottom edge of the card – place a light pink strip
approximately ¾” up. Place medium pink
on top of that and another light pink on that.
Stamp 1 cupcake image and 7
banner images. Color (cupcake: pink
frosting, chocolate cake, yellow liner/ banners: 2 yellow with pink tabs, 2
orange with yellow tabs, 3 pink with orange tabs). Cut these pieces out.
Stamp “make a wish” just
slightly right of center. Pop tape
cupcake next to it.
Fold 2 yards of baker twine in ½
and then in ½ again. Tie in a bow under the cupcake and trim ends if desired.
Pop tape banner pieces to the
twine – 3 pinks in the center, 2 orange on ends of pink, and 2 yellows are
placed beside each
You Make Life
Sweet…
Cut 2 medium pink and 2 dark
pink scalloped strips to 5 ½” long.
Starting from the bottom edge, place a medium pink strip approximately 1”
up from bottom. Place a dark pink, a
medium, and then another dark on that original strip.
Stamp “you make life sweet”
onto dark pink tab. Pop tape the tab at
the bottom right of the card.
Fold 2 yards of baker twine in ½
and then in ½ again. Tie at the top of strips.
Bow to left side.
Stamp 5 ice creams on a stick –
include a smiley face on 1. Color 1
blue, 1 green, 1 yellow, 1 orange and 1 pink.
Cut out and pop tape to card. 3rd
ice cream in from left and smiley face ice cream are double pop taped.
Starting with 4 ¼” x 5 ½” dark
pink card – layer up with the following pieces:
4 x 5 ¼ Kraft, 2 x 5 ½ dark pink – place about ½” from left side of
card, 1 ¾ x 5 ¼ medium pink.
Stamp “sup grill-friend?”
vertically to right side of dark pink/medium pink pieces.
Stamp the following images: 1
watermelon, 1 ant, 1 steak, 1 shish-ka-bob, 1 hamburger, 1 hot dog. Color and cut out (for the meat I used a very
light pink and a very light brown).
Double pop tape the ant. Pop tape meat so it’s as if the ant is
carrying it on its back.
Pop tape watermelon piece to
bottom right of card.
Place completed design onto
card.
Huge
thanks….
Building off the 3 ½ x 3 ½ dark
blue square: cut 2 strips of light blue,
2 strips of medium blue and 2 strips of dark blue scallop to 3 ¼” long. Starting about ¾” to 1” down from top of 3 ¼”
square white – place 2 light blue, then 2 medium blue and finally 2 dark
blue. Because you want the dark blue to
hit the very bottom edge of the white square, you may want to gently place
strips before securing. When you are
happy with the placement of the strips – pop tape white square to dark blue
square. Place the dark blue square onto
card – to the left.
Stamp “huge thanks” to the
bottom right edge of the blue square. By
placing sentiment to very left edge of the stamp block – you will prevent a
blurry image from rocking. Stamp a pelican, a starfish, a small fish, and a
pier. Color and cut out.
Pop tape pier to left – placing
in the medium blue strips. Double pop
the pelican onto the top of the pier.
Pop the starfish off the bottom of the pier. Finally pop the fish – tucking its back fins
into the dark blue strips.
Glossy accent fish eyes and
pelican eyes.
Hello….
Place medium blue strip in the
center of card. Place the dark blue
strip to its left and the light blue strip to its right. Set aside.
With the white ½ circle and the
light blue ¾ circle – form a full circle.
Place onto the dark blue scalloped circle.
Stamp “hello”.
Stamp 1 large bubble, 1 small
bubble, 3 seaweed and 3 different fish.
Color and cut out.
Bubbles and blue fish and 2
seaweed are pop taped.
Seaweed: adhere on flat, one pop taped and one double
popped. Tuck a fish (mine is blue) into
the seaweed so it looks as though it is coming out of the seaweed (popped).
Pop tape dark blue scalloped
circle to center of the card.
Glossy accent the bubbles.

Twice in one day!
I'm on a roll! I've been playing with a new stamp line (well new to me...) - Paper Smooches. So stinkin' cute...and so much fun to create with. So I figure while I'm here it can't hurt to put some pictures up. I'll be teaching a Paper Smooches class at Ink About It in July - not sure if I'll use these specific sets or another equally fun set - so be sure to check back and see what fun we can have together.
CUTE!
Okay I promised - so here they are. Three sweet cards using My Favorite Things Pure Innocence stamps and Lawn Fawn paper! We'll be assembling these darlings over at Ink About It on June 7. So come on over and play! :)

This is not a chore ... this is not a chore ....
Okay - fresh start. I have to tell you blogging reminds me a lot of journaling requirements in middle and high school. It feels like a chore and therefore I avoid it. But for the sake of my "fans" - all 3 of you - I'm willing to try it once again. Insert smile here. I'm not promising that this time I will be any more successful at sticking with it than all the countless other times I've tried this, but....I will try! That I can promise.
Anyways - following is a card that I made using a MFT stamp image for 2 upcoming classes I will be teaching at Ink About It (Westford). If you are in the area and free to come play - I would love to see you.
This are pretty cute if I do say so myself and I am looking forward to sharing!
